Our client approached us in need of concrete for their newly built shed in Aldgate. They required concrete for the internal shed slab, surrounding paths and entry/exit aprons.

We began by communicating with the client to establish their vision for the project. We discussed things such as levels, set out and stormwater provisions,

We identified some issues which had been over looked such as stormwater along the dead side and reworking the pad to allow for falls in the external aprons. We were able to install stormwater provisions and excavate/compact the pad as required to execute the job the best way possible. Tradelink supplied us with the materials needed to install stormwater plumbing and drains.

We tidied up the existing rubble using the excavator and compacted the area with the mechanical wacker. Concrete sleeper retaining had been installed by others beforehand.

We set the job up in stages the main shed slab and side path being first. We installed forticon plastic membrane and SL82 reinforcing (supported on bar chairs) supplied by Bianco Reinforcing.

Concrete arrived bright and early from Adbri and we poured the shed slab and paths with ease. We pumped the job in with our concrete pump. We gave the shed a nice smooth machine finish and textured the paths. We returned the next day to saw cut control joints in the shed slab to mitigate uncontrolled cracking.

Stage two began by prepping the apron areas with plastic forticon, reinforcing and formwork. Another early morning with

supplying the concrete and the job was in before it could get too hot.

We returned to saw cut the next day and tidy up the site.

We completed the job in a series of pours to maintain quality control throughout the project.

The client was very happy and the job looked great.
